COMPANY BACKGROUND

My client has been in business for about 40 years. They operate a multi-location operation based in the Eastern third of the country. Their specialized haul covers the USA area East of the Mississippi river. Their brokerage operation covers the USA plus Canada and Mexico. There is exceptional room to grow with a dynamic company who is seeking new leaders. There is a lot of info about my client and you’ll learn more during our interview process.

 
Role and Responsibilities

  • As Director in the Cincinnati, OH location you will have total responsibility for Sales & Operations.
  • You will grow this facility to handle more freight and revenue volume.
  • With growth above you will add the appropriate number of Sales & Operations people.
  • You will split your time between Sales (majority) and Operations (Minority of time).
  • This is a 3PL non-asset-based job & having a good client following is important.
  • You will have a challenging position filled with opportunities to grow with a dynamic companySeeking new leaders.
  • Monitor departmental revenue, margin, load count, call logs, and process adherence.
  • Assist 3PL team with quoting, client negotiations, carrier pricing & market Penetration.
  • Review key performance numbers of sales team, individually and as a group to foster accountability.

QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

      1. 4+ years' of truck brokerage experience (ops & Sales)
    
      2. Demonstrated success in freight brokerage sales and operating management

      3. Management experience in transportation and/or 3PL

      4. Knowledge of trucking transportation modes including TL, LTL, and Intermodal

  1. $150K - $170K total compensation ($70K-$100K base plus comm for the balance)
